Edwards issues statement on North Carolina Supreme Court decision on voter ID

Congressman Chuck Edwards (NC-11) issued the following statement today following the North Carolina Supreme Court’s decision to restore the 2018 voter ID law to reduce voter fraud.

Edwards released the following statement:

“As a member of the North Carolina State Senate who helped bring this bill forward, I say it’s high time the court has recognized the will of the people and restored common sense to our elections process. There is no good reason why an ID should not be necessary to perform our most sacred civic duty and participate in our democratic process.”
