Edwards appointed to additional subcommittee seat on House Appropriations Committee
U.S. Congressman Chuck Edwards (NC-11) today announced that he has been appointed to the State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs Subcommittee on the House Appropriations Committee by Chairman Tom Cole (OK-04).
Edwards also sits on the following Appropriations subcommittees:
- Financial Services and General Government
- Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies
- Labor, Health and Human Services, Education
“We are living during a time when our national and global security are being threatened from many sides, and time is of the essence in making strategic decisions that will affect the course of world history. My recent trip to Ukraine made it clearer than ever that if America wants to remain a world leader, we need to act like one,” said Edwards. “I’m honored to be entrusted to a position on the State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs Subcommittee during such a critical juncture, and I look forward to making sure that the United States remains the leader of the free world because Americans and the rest of the freedom-loving nations are counting on us.”
