Congressman Edwards reacts to President Trump’s address to joint session of Congress

U.S. Congressman Chuck Edwards (NC-11) issued the following statement after President Donald Trump’s address to a joint session of Congress:

"President Trump has wasted no time delivering on the promises he made to the people of Western North Carolina and citizens across our nation.

"A recent CBS poll showing that more than half of Americans approve of the president’s first months back in office, an acceptability rating far greater than Joe Biden when he left office, is a testament that the president is getting our nation back on track.

"From making his first official trip in his presidency back to our mountains, strengthening border security, to restoring common sense in our federal government, he has not forgotten the people of WNC and is doing exactly what the American people demanded by putting America First.

"I look forward to continuing working with the president to aid WNC’s recovery and make the most of this unique time in history to renew the American Dream and fix how Washington works."
