Fire Department Grant Seminar

U.S. Congressman Chuck Edwards' district office will be hosting a grant seminar for fire departments in North Carolina’s 11th district on Wednesday, March 13 at 45 East Ridge Dr., Bryson City, NC from 6:00-8:00 p.m.

The goal of this seminar is to provide more accessibility, education and guidance for fire departments in Western North Carolina to prepare and write grants.

Special guest David Sawyer, a Bryson City community member, volunteer fireman and attorney will be hosting the event.

The grant workshop participants are:

• Brian Taylor, state fire marshal
• Brent Heath, director of government affairs, Office of State Fire Marshal (OSFM)
• Shannon Bullock, director of public affairs, OSFM
• Representative of U.S. Department of Agriculture for western North Carolina

Members of the public and media are invited to attend.
