Edwards receives North Carolina Bowhunters Association's 2022 Legislator of the Year Award
Congressman Chuck Edwards (NC-11) was presented the 2022 Legislator of the Year Award by David Whitmire of the North Carolina Bowhunters Association (NCBA) for his work in the North Carolina Senate to fund and support wildlife habitat research in North Carolina's national forests.
Congressman Edwards released the following statement:
"As a sportsman myself, I'm honored to receive the NC Bowhunters Association's 2022 Legislator of the Year Award. I look forward to continuing to represent WNC hunters in Congress."
David Whitmire, member of the NCBA, submitted Congressman Edwards' nomination and offered the following quote:
"As a bowhunter and conservationist, I was honored to hand Congressman Edwards the NC Bowhunters Association's legislative award. He listened to our concerns about wildlife and initiated a study in validating those concerns. The result was the hiring of two foresters to address the need - boots-on-the-ground action. Wildlife and wildlife advocates will benefit from this for many years."
