Edwards to host grant seminars for WNC fire departments
U.S. Congressman Chuck Edwards (NC-11) today announced that his district office will be hosting grant seminars for fire departments in North Carolina’s 11th district. The virtual seminar will be held on Thursday, February 15 and the in-person seminars on Wednesday, March 6 and 13.
The goal of this seminar is to provide more accessibility, education and guidance for fire departments in Western North Carolina to prepare and write grants.
Edwards said, “Grant funding is critical to providing NC-11’s fire departments and firefighters with the financial support that they need for their equipment, training, facilities maintenance and community outreach. Our firefighters risk their own safety to keep us safe, and my district office is hosting these workshops so that the brave men and women at WNC fire departments have the tools and resources that they need to perform their responsibilities safely and effectively.”
To join the virtual seminar on February 15 from 6:00-8:00 p.m., participants can join the Zoom meeting here.
