Chet Edwards has voted for tax cuts totaling nearly $6.7 trillion. So far in the 111^th Congress, Congressman Edwards has supported the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, providing $232 billion in tax relief to America's families over 10 years, and supported the passage of a budget resolution that provides an additional $1.75 trillion in tax cuts over the next 10 years.

Chet has cosponsored legislation providing for the permanent deductibility of state and local sales tax, has supported a permanent repeal of the unfair Death Tax and Marriage Penalty tax, and supports the reduction of capital gains taxes.

• Tax cuts for middle class families
• Reduction of capital gains taxes
• Elimination of capital gains taxes on the sale of a home when the appreciation was less than $500,000
• Faster depreciation on capital purchases for small businesses.
